For many years Jazz in the Gardens occupied Sun Life Stadium and the City of Miami Gardens with unique foods by top chefs and musical acts beyond expectations. The 11th annual Jazz in the Gardens festival continues to set the stage for perfection.

The 2016 jazz music festival also known as the signatured annual event and was hosted by comedian Rickey Smiley. The 11th annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival brought in acts such as Usher, Janelle Monae, Baby Face and Kool and the Gang. Local acts like April Raquel, Ronnie VOP, and Chrystyle Renae took the opportunity to express their selves on the stage that history was made on.
The last minute change due to the cancellation on Aretha Franklin brought Mr. Charlie Wilson to the forefront Saturday, March 19, 2016. Charlie Wilson took the crowd to different levels as he performed a two hour set with some of his greatest hits mixed in with a little new.
Janelle Monae’s women empowering performance left her fans screaming for more as she paid homage to the late James Brown. On Sunday, March 20, 2016 she wore her black and white attire to symbolize equality while she put on an exhilarating performance in the presence of thousands of fans. Baby Face and Usher took the Sunday night away as they sang many of the songs that are loved by many.
The 12th annual Jazz in the Gardens is already in the planning and so much is to look forward to in 2017.
